Endangered Species Day

To celebrate Endangered Species Day the children at Harlequin have been learning about and exploring how to take care of the environment around us, in order to protect our animals.

The babies have been saving animals from the polar ice caps; they learnt to recognise animals such as penguin, bear, turtle and shark. The toddlers and preschool have been learning about the importance of looking after our environment in order to protect animals.

At circle times there were discussions about recycling and not dropping litter and we learnt which animals are endangered. We followed this by creating animals with animal print tissue paper and green playdough adding animal features to create our own species of animal from imagination
