Daisies in December

During December the Portland House babies have enjoyed wrapping up warm and embarking on lots of outings and walks in the fresh air visiting the library, duck pond and environmental walks exploring the local community. They have also been joining in with lots of festive fun activities indoors. They have particularly enjoyed learning lots of new songs and rhymes to sing with the favourite being ‘When Santa got stuck up the chimney.’ This has helped develop skills to follow actions and repeat words and sounds.

The Daisy children have been creating lots of special pieces of artwork to take home to share with their families practising fine motor skills and hand eye co-ordination for gluing, collaging and printing.

We are looking to have lots of exciting adventures in our newly developed outdoor garden area and parents are more than welcome to come and stay and play in there too.
