Chinese New Year Stay and Play
All the children enjoyed taking part in many activities and learning all about the Chinese New Year festival.
Children in pre-school decorated their own dragon masks and enjoyed wearing them to do the Chinese dragon dance. They also tasted lots of different Chinese food, such as prawn crackers, noodles, sweet chilli sauce and spring rolls. They were all very tasty!
The parents joined the children in a special stay and play to explore the Chinese customs. The babies explored rice play and the use of envelopes to send well wishes. They also had fun with red and gold paint and lots of sparkly glitter.
All the children enjoyed their fortune cookies and reading what they said inside.
