The Harlequin children have been learning about the importance of first aid. The Children's Council took part in some first aid training and developed some essential skills.
Firstly, we worked on our speaking and listening skills. We learned that it was important to tell someone when we are hurt and explain clearly what has happened. The children listened carefully to one another and responded with kindness and care. Then, the children developed their practical care skills by applying slings, bandages and PPE gloves. This was difficult at first but we persevered and the children loved taking care of one another.
