This month the Harlequin children’s council helped to conduct a room audit.
Jemimah spoke to the children about looking after our resources and putting them back when we had finished using things. We spoke about respecting our things.
The children identified we needed some new books as they are often left on the floor and children stand on the books. The children also identified some of the basket labels were missing and needed to be replaced as this would help them to identify where things belong.
The children then sat and put together a wish list talking about some of the things they would like that we don’t have and what we don’t get out to play with often. The children requested we make 2 colors of playdough each day as they would like to mix it together and see what happens.
The children also communicated they liked using the scissors and we talked about how to use them safely around the younger children.
