Celebrating Wellbeing Week

The Portland House preschool children have had the best week taking part in our activities focused on promoting our wellbeing. We have enjoyed the cold weather with a yoga session in the garden where the children had the opportunity to learn to breathe deeply and count how many breaths they take in a minute.

We also have had a Spa morning where the children enjoyed a relaxing foot spa, a healthy snack and played with bubbles. We took time to immerse our senses smelling essential oils and challenged our experience to guess what was in it.

We repeated lines and mandala patterns using gemstones and the children had fun challenging their mathematical and memory skills. We talked about what makes us happy and sad and we all sat together around our log-cushions talking, and singing fire songs.
