The Portland House preschool children took great delight in exploring the woodland area during our forest school session with Simon to find lots of lovely natural resources. We used the colours in our outdoor environment to link them to our different feelings. We talked about how the colours made us feel. Here are some of the answers the children responded with:
Yellow - felt happy like bright sunshine
Blue - was a cold sad feeling
Red - was a favourite colour for the majority of the children in the group as they said it made them feel happy too.
We then made our own paint brushes using natural tools such as sticks, and leaves to create our own cave art pictures on large scale paper and enjoyed a story in the cave we had built.
