At Oakwood House the pre-school have had lots of fun looking after some caterpillars. We watched then change into cocoons and then we watched them hatch into butterflies.
During the few days we took care of them, we learnt what they like to eat and drink and how you can tell a boy from a girl. We then set them free and watched them fly into our garden. Unfortunately one hatched upside down and the wings could not open properly so we are taking care of that one until it is strong enough to fly away.
