The children in Pre-School have been having great fun in their new castle which they built with James out of a cardboard box!
The children decided they wanted to build a castle and then became knights and dragons. They have really enjoyed playing in their new play space.
A cardboard box is one of the most basic and universally loved open ended resources and it has huge potential that is naturally understood by children, inspiring creativity and imagination. The exploration and learning invited by this open-ended resource demonstrates the incredible creative process of play, promoting new ideas, problem solving, imagination and resourcefulness.
