Cardboard Box to Castle – Open Ended Play at Oakwood

The children in Pre-School have been having great fun in their new castle which they built with James out of a cardboard box!

The children decided they wanted to build a castle and then became knights and dragons. They have really enjoyed playing in their new play space.

A cardboard box is one of the most basic and universally loved open ended resources and it has huge potential that is naturally understood by children, inspiring creativity and imagination.
