Oakwood House Nursery & Forest School get into character for World Book Day The children and staff at Oakwood House Nursery and Forest School celebrated World Book Day with an array of their favourite book characters, from Peter Rabbit, the Gruffalo and The Tiger Who Came to Tea. Samantha Richmond Nursery Manager said “Making reading fun for children is key in encouraging a lifelong love of reading. Children love stories, and this is a crucial age to introduce literacy, pictures, words and narratives. We not only read books with the children, stories are brought to life within the children’s imaginative play and learning especially outdoors. The children also received world book day vouchers to spend on a new book!
