Portland House preschoolers have been celebrating Burns Night today. Burns Night is a celebration of Robert Burns the famous poet who loved to write poems about Scotland.
We have participated in many Scottish-themed activities to learn more about Scotland and their celebrations. The children painted and designed their own Scottish flags, cut and designed their own kilts and identified where Scotland is on our big map. In phonics, the children also had a session looking at Robert Burns' poems and reading other books to identify common rhymes.
