The Harlequin children have taken part in the RSPB Big Birdwatch. The children have been observing birds in the garden and we have installed a window bird feeder so the children can observe the birds feeding from inside. The children have used watercolours to paint the birds they have spotted and have been learning the names of birds including robins, blue tits, sparrows and wood pigeons. The children even had a go at bird calling using special whistles which emulated the birds sound. They have also spent lots of time inside our bird hide in the garden.
