The pre school children at Portland House shared a very special Valentines Day with the residents at their local care home, Lindley Grange. The children spent the morning sharing their Learning Journey's* with the residents showing them their artwork and photos of them at play. They told them all about nursery and what activities they love to do. This is not the first time the children have been to see the elderly at the home, they go up every Christmas to sing carols and songs for the residents.
*Each child at nursery receives a Learning Journey when they start. This is a journal which records a child's progress until they move onto school through observations, photos and art from both nursery and home.
