The babies at Hollybank enjoyed a trip to our home made beach which we made using a big tarpaulin and lots of soft golden sand.
The children took off their wellies and socks and enjoyed the sensory experience of the sand between their toes. We also used our sea creature puppets as props to help whilst we sang the songs "slippery fish" and "I had a tiny turtle". To extend this activity we talked about the different colours of the sea creatures and the noises or actions they make, and we snapped our fingers like a crab!
