Here at Oakwood House the toddlers have had a fantastic Autumn so far and have loved watching the leaves and conkers fall from the trees. Outside we have been exploring torches to look for different insects hiding under the logs and stones. We have explored pumpkins of all different sizes in our Autumnal sensory tray and have been using pine cones and conkers to create different artwork. We have been adding cinnamon and leaves into our playdough to create different scents and textures. We created a fantastic Autumn display using twigs from the forest to mix our paint colours together. We have also been talking about how the seasons change and how the leaves will all eventually fall from the trees. We're looking forward to exploring the forest in winter!
