Today in our forest school session the children enjoyed making a bridge out of natural materials to build over the Trolls cave. The children worked really hard together to move some very big logs around the garden. They used fantastic problem solving skills to figure out how to move the logs.
Some of the logs were too heavy so one child shouted to his friends "we're going to have to roll it, we need help!" The children asked each other for help and found different resources to fill the in the holes the logs left.
Once the bridge was built the children started retelling the story 'Billy Goats Gruff' shouting "who's that trip trapping over my bridge". All the children walked across it and were carefully watching out for the Troll!
