I joined the team at Portland Nurseries in March 2024 as the Manager at Harlequin, before transitioning to the role of Manager at Hollybank in January 2026. As a manager, I take a hands-on approach and truly enjoy working directly with staff, families, and children to build strong relationships and create a positive environment.
With 17 years of experience in childcare, I have worked in a variety of nursery settings with children ranging from 0 to 11 years old. I’ve progressed through several roles, from nursery apprentice to manager, completing an apprenticeship in team leading and management along the way. I have also served as Lead SENDCO and Safeguarding Lead. Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated closely with local authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in my care.
As a mother to a young son, I have a personal understanding of the vital role childcare professionals play in a child’s development. I also plan to expand my family in the near future, which only strengthens my passion for supporting children and their families.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and spending quality time with my family and friends. We love camping in our campervan, taking scenic walks with our dog, and when I can, I spend time at my allotment. 😊
Fun fact: I completed my minibus driving course and am licensed to drive a school bus with up to 17 seats!
