World Turtle Day

To celebrate World Turtle Day the children at Harlequin have enjoyed expressing themselves creatively. The toddlers and pre-schoolers designed and decorated their own giant turtle shell, talking about the colours and shapes and showed great team work in helping each other.

The babies have been singing one of their favourite songs, 'I had a tiny turtle' The children have been repeating the familiar words and following actions. The children enjoyed painting their own turtle shells and popped lots of bubbles together.

Here are the lyrics to the song:

I had a little turtle,

His name was Tiny Tim.

I put him in the bath tub,

To see if he could swim.

He drank up all the water,

He ate ate up all the soap

And now he's lying on the bottom

With a bubble in his throat.

Bubble, bubble, bubble,

Bubble, bubble big.

Bubble, bubble bigger
