Today the children at Holly Bank celebrated World Photography Day. The babies used the tablets to take photos of objects of interest in the garden, the adults helped the children to hold the tablet and showed them how to tap the screen and take the photo.
Then our toddlers collected some natural resources from the garden, which they brought inside to take photographs of using the cameras they had made out of card.
The preschool children used some large pieces of cardboard they recycled from some boxes to make large photograph frames, then they took turns to use the nursery camera to take photos of each other.
During these activities the children used their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination, but it also gave them the opportunity to talk about technology and the older children were able to chat about their favourite pictures and recall seeing pictures of themselves as babies.
It was a really fun day !!
