Visit to Oakwood House Community Library

Holly Bank pre-school children have enjoyed a fun trip to visit the community library at Oakwood House.

On the way we saw lots of cars, trucks and vans and we were even lucky enough to see a fire engine drive past us as we listened to the siren. We also saw a police van and were lucky to get a wave from the policeman! On route we talked about road safety and the children had to think, stop, look and listen before crossing the roads, also we watched out for the green man which indicated that it was safe to cross.

At Oakwood House we were able to explore many books from their community library. We then enjoyed picnic tea with the Oakwood pre-school children.

After tea the children had great fun exploring the forest school garden. They balanced on logs, created mud pies and even played hide and seek.
