Tree Faces

Today in the Oakwood House forest school the children took part in our tree faces activity.

We sat in a group and had a discussion with the children about our facial features and facial expressions, the children recognised that when we are feeling different emotions we pull different faces so we went around the garden looking for different materials that we could use to make different faces. The children collected leaves, berries, twigs, flowers etc..

Using clay and water the children pushed the clay down on the trees and used the materials they had collected to express how they were feeling.
