Sycamore Care Home Visit

The Bradley House preschool children were very excited to resume our visits to Sycamore Care Home, which is a short walk from Bradley House.

We enjoyed a lovely walk through the community, chatting about the autumnal trees, the different vehicles that passed us and where we live. We passed houses where some children live and they were very excited to share this with everyone.

We received a very warm welcome from the residents of the care home and their dedicated staff. There were lots of exciting activities planned for us, we enjoyed pumpkin painting which was followed by a scavenger hunt which all the children joined in with enthusiastically. After this, we were treated to more pumpkin crafts and party games, including pin the spider on the web and pumpkin bowling, with the residents. We did so well playing these games that we won a group Teddy Bear which we are going to all share.

The lovely care home staff them delivered all the pumpkins we had decorated to save us carrying them back to nursery and we decorated the nursery with these amazing pumpkins.

We have invited the residents to nursery for a tea party and an afternoon of fun activities in November and are looking forward to our next visit to Sycamore Care home in December when a little bird has told us we might meet an extra special visitor!
