The Fairfield preschool have followed on from their Autumnal learning and linking with National Space week making “conker comets”.
To create our comets the children chose their own resources, thinking about what size conkers they would use and choosing different colours they would like. We used the language of size when we cut out ribbon to different lengths and practised number skills counting backwards in sequence “5,4,3,2,1…blast off!”. The children then took their conker comets into the garden to see which would travel the furthest.
