The poppies children took full advantage of the snow fall we had this month. We made a footprint trail, making “slushy” footprints. We then had lots of giggles as me made ‘snow angels’ by lying on our backs and moving our arms and legs up and down.
We then worked together to create a snow man, rolling the snow around the garden to create a big ball for the body, and then a smaller ball for his head. The children then explored the playground to find resources we could use to put the finishing touches to our creation. Gathering sticks and stones, from the forest area, and then Christine gave us some carrots which the children used to give the snow man a nose and ears. The children even decided to give the snow man a pair of wellies “so his feet don’t get cold”.
