This week in the Bradley preschool room the children have carried out a spring clean in the garden where they learnt how to prepare our allotment area for growing our fruit and vegetables for the season.
Children worked together using a range of tools to de-weed the planters using spades and forks, some children even decided to pull weeds from the roots using their hands. We then went on to use our science area inside to plant some seeds such as strawberries, sweetcorn, pumpkins, carrots and peas and we will observe the progress of germination before transferring to the allotment.
