On Friday 11th February the children at Harlequin had a very special visit from Lion Learners. They are a local company that offer hands on animal-based education with the aid of familiar and exotic animals from the around the world.
The children were able to touch and hold reptiles such as Olivia the snake (our own Olivia was very proud to share the name!) and Heratio the lizard. The lizard was a definite favourite and Joseph was even brave enough to feed him off his own hand! Giant snails, hissing cockroaches, a giant millipede and tarantula all made an appearance.
The children embraced these unusual creatures with great curiosity and excitement, so much so they all had to come out to play for a second time before they said goodbye!
