Thank you to all the Harlequin parents who took the time to attend our Stay and Plays that took place this week in celebration of World Families Day. We enjoyed sharing stories about the children’s families/friends and other special people and why they are important to them. The older children were able to articulate who lived in their house and who they like to visit and recalled past events. The babies used their growing language skills to repeat familiar family names and pointed to the recognizable people.
It was lovely to meet younger siblings, even if they did sleep through the whole Stay and Play. We have now displayed the family photos that you sent in as talking points within the rooms, the children love to share stories with the practitioners and their peers. Parent, carers and family members enjoyed joining in with making photo frames and family trees, painting together and exploring reflections.
