International day of families

The Holly Bank babies developed their gross motor skills by helping to make playdough with Ella. They took it in turns to use the wooden spoon to mix the mixture together. Once the dough was ready we used the different sized people shaped cutters in the dough and the house shaped cutters. We talked about who lives in our houses and introduced family names such as "Mummy" "Daddy" "Baby" "Brother" "Sister".

We had fun outdoors in the water tray where we bathed our babies. We used shaving foam as pretend soap which we squirted on the babies bodies. We named the different parts of the baby’s body such as "toes" "head" and "tummy". We used soft cloths and brushes to rub the soap in and wash it off with water!
