At Oakwood the children in pre-school have taken a real interest in dinosaurs. We made some dinosaur eggs from balloons filled with water and frozen overnight. The next day the dinosaurs were ready to hatch!
The children were fascinated by the frozen eggs discussing how cold and hard they were. After the ‘eggs hatched’ the children looked after the dinosaurs well and were able to match the baby dinosaurs with the bigger dinosaurs.
Ice melting activities are great fun and frozen dinosaur eggs are a perfect way to incorporate fun science and sensory learning.
