This month Harlequin nursery children took part in the National Day Nursery Associations “Healthy Body, Happy Me” campaign which promotes the importance of a healthy lifestyle for young children.
Ruth Tattersal, Nursery Manger explains "The nursery has been supporting this campaign for a number of years and every year we involve parents to help raise awareness of the importance of good health and its affect on the happiness of children.
“We started the week with a “big breakfast” inviting all the mums and dads down to share the nursery’s healthy breakfast with their children. Throughout the week we focused on different types of physical activity from fun exercises and yoga stretching to outdoor games and bike races. The most important factor is the children understand why we need to keep fit and healthy and how it helps them grow to be healthy adults in the future”
