The Harlequin toddlers have enjoyed spending lots of time outside this week as we now come into the warmer weather! We have been into the forest to see how many mini beasts we could find, we looked under logs and dug in the flower beds. We spoke about the mini beasts we found and used lots of words relating to size, like 'big' 'small' 'long', ‘enormous’ to describe them. The worms proved to be a firm favourite. 😊
We also looked at the different pathways in the forest, playing games of follow the leader, the children focussed on using their listening ears to follow instructions given.
The children introduced their own narrative, making stories from their imagination. We have been up and down the 'mountains', through the bushes and even ran away from the bears!
