This term the Oakwood House toddlers have been focusing on the bird wildlife around us. We talked about the different kinds of species there are and looked through pictures to find out some interesting facts. Did you know that owls can turn their heads up to 270 degrees? We talked about their beaks and feathers and how they like to eat worms, seeds, berries and fruit.
Outside we used binoculars to look for them in the trees spying a crow, robin, blue tit and a lark. We are going to fill up our bird feeders with seeds and hopefully more will come to say hello!
