Baby Robins in our tree

We have some very special news to share with you. There is a mummy Robin nesting in our Sycamore tree at Oakwood House and she has four hungry babies! She has found a tiny hole at the bottom of the trunk for her nest.

We have been watching her fly in and out over the last couple of days with food for her babies. It has been such a magical experience for all the children and staff. We will be keeping a close watch on our new garden friends over the next few weeks and will update you with photos as they grow.

Here are some of the things the children have observed about their experience

"they were giving worms to the babies"

"they look like red and white and black eyes"

"eating it all and dropping it into their mouths"

"getting worms for the little ones"
