Babies Autumn Adventures

We have had a very busy Autumn so far in the Oakwood House baby room. We have enjoyed watching the leaves fall down from the trees and have been exploring their texture and colours. We got messy carving pumpkins and using the seeds inside to create artwork. The babies helped to plant some winter daffodils ready for spring using spades and small trowels.

We have been on lots of insect hunts and spent lots of time in the garden driving the wooden tractor and taking part in leaf threading. We celebrated 'Children in Need' making lots of 'spotacular' pictures mixing paint together and dressing up as Pudsey bear.

We have enjoyed heuristic water play adding in loofahs and sponges to make lots of bubbles. The children attended a teddy bears picnic pretending to feed them with role play food and drinks. Of course we have done lots of singing at circle time where we have been practicing our nursery rhymes. In particular "tiny turtle" which is a current favourite.
