Autumn Leaves!

Over the past few weeks the babies at Holly Bank have been learning about Autumn.

We raked the leaves in our garden into big piles so we could jump, kick and throw them. The younger babies enjoyed sitting in the leaves and using their hands to explore the texture and noises they made.

We also collected lots of leaves to create our own Autumn pictures using sticky glue. This was a great way to help the babies develop their fine motor skills and encourage them to use their pincer grip to pick up the leaves and stick them on to the glue. The babies have also enjoyed collecting conkers and pine cones around the garden to create paintings with too!
