The children at Holly Bank had a special visit from Zoo Lab last week. The Rangers brought along a very interesting collection of animals for the children to examine, from giant snails, to rats and snakes! The children took it in turns to hold and stroke the animals while learning about the way they move, the textures of their skin and their natural habitats. Manager Karen Dunford explains “The children were fascinated by the creatures; their concentration was captured for the whole session. It was a real talking point for the children and allowed them to tell each other about their own pets at home and their favourite animals." Zoo Lab is the only national company offering a range of curriculum relevant animal workshops in schools and nurseries.
