Today we say a fond farewell to Pam Burrell who retired this week to spend time with her new baby granddaughter.
Pam is one of our longest serving members of staff, having worked at Portland House for 20 years with young children of all ages and learning capabilities, supporting them and their families to have the best possible start in life.
She has done so much for the nursery over the years, especially as Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), working with children with learning disabilities. She has worked passionately and relentlessly to ensure they receive the support they need to make progress with their learning and development at nursery. Pam is an asset to the team and one truly amazing lady, it has been an absolute pleasure to have worked alongside her and we will all miss her and hope to do her proud by continuing providing inclusive high quality care for all.
Her vast experience and real professionalism is inspirational. She is recognised by everyone as a superb and skilled practitioner with the ability to support other staff and lead by example, giving confidence to other staff to flourish in their work and provide additional support where required. She’ll be a great loss to the company and we’re sorry to see her go.
