The post you are applying for involves direct contact with children. In order to check your suitability to do so, Portland Nurseries considers any information relating to convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings for offences. Please note that exemption under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 does not apply to the role for which you are applying. You must include details of spent convictions, including those related to juvenile offences. Any information given will be completely confidential, and will be considered only in relation to an application for positions to which the exemption does not apply.

Please note that that any previous convictions; anything you have been charged for or details of any pending hearings will be disclosed through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Failure to declare a conviction may however, disqualify you from appointment or may result in summary dismissal if the discrepancy comes to light.
