In 2021 I became the Training and Management Coordinator for Portland Nurseries after 10 years as the Manager at Oakwood House Nursery and Forest School. I am now the HR & Finance Manager for the group. As part of the senior management team I oversee recruitment and HR as well as fees and funding.
I joined Portland Nurseries in 1992 and have held a number of leadership roles. In May 2010 I became the Nursery Manager at Oakwood House Nursery and Forest School. I have a wide range of knowledge and experiences in the early years sector and have been involved in the development of nation-wide training packs for the National Day Nurseries Association.
I am a very proud Mum to my teenage son and love travelling, especially to Italy. I spent my childhood in Cumbria where I developed my love for the outdoors and I continually share my enthusiasm for outdoor learning by encouraging my staff team to explore the holistic development that happens outdoors, promoted through multi-sensory, hands-on experiences. I strive at all times for excellence and to continue to offer outstanding provision.
