We have four day nurseries in Huddersfield – Harlequin (Edgerton), Holly Bank (Birkby), Oakwood House Forest School (Edgerton) and Portland House (Lindley) - each with its own individual character.
We have been providing outstanding childcare in Huddersfield for over 30 years during which time we have looked after generations of families and become the benchmark for childcare in Huddersfield.
We are proud to be at the heart of the community and have strong links with schools, charities and community groups.

Harlequin Nursery in Edgerton
Harlequin is one of our Ofsted Outstanding day nurseries in Huddersfield. It is small and homely and staffed by our award-winning team.
Conveniently located on the A629 Halifax Road in Edgerton, it has open-plan play areas with rooms that lead directly onto the gardens allowing children and staff safe and easy access outdoors.
We take a Forest School approach to our outdoor learning making Harlequin with its woodland surroundings the ideal place for your child to explore, play, learn and grow both indoors and outdoors.
Holly Bank Nursery in Birkby
Holly Bank is a well-established Huddersfield day nursery tucked away in a quiet, leafy part of Birkby, just off Halifax Road (A629).

Oakwood House Forest School in Edgerton
Set in a former Edgerton villa with its own woodland and mature gardens area, Oakwood House Forest school focuses on outdoor learning and play to encourage your child to explore, grow and discover.
A well-established Ofsted outstanding day nursery in Huddersfield, Oakwood’s inside areas are light and spacious with resources made from natural, sustainable materials to reflect the outdoor environment.
Our experienced and qualified staff help children reach their potential through imaginative play that develops creativity and keeps them physically active and healthy.
Portland House Nursery in Lindley
Portland House is one of the best-loved and established day nurseries in Huddersfield. It was the first one in our group and has been setting the benchmark in childcare in Huddersfield for 30 years.
Run by experienced and qualified staff, Portland House in a detached stone residence in Lindley and all our rooms are large, light and airy with resources made from natural materials.
The self-contained garden and outside play area has many fun spaces with trees houses, oak tree tunnels and Hobbit dens – and even a big wooden pirate ship - for the children to explore, learn and use their imagination.
