Oakwood House toddlers had a fun filled World Book Day! We all really enjoyed our day and learnt lots about familiar books and new books too! The room theme was “Room on the Broom” and all our staff dressed up too. Shannon was the witch, Chloe the cat, Joni the dog, Lola the bird, Amanda the frog and Sam the dragon. The smiles on the children's faces when we acted out the book and used the props too were priceless. They identified all the characters and loved getting involved. We also had some books that children had brought in, we read "Funny bones", "Let's find the mermaid", "Gruffalo" and "Whatever next" which were accompanied by the most adorable costumes.
