Room news from Harlequin

Daisies In Daisies we have been getting very festive this season. We have been making lots of decorations to make the nursery look like a winter wonderland. The babies decorated a snowman, a Christmas tree and some snowflakes which have all been hung up in the baby room. Together we have also enjoyed singing lots of Christmas songs too. Merry Christmas from all of us in Daisies. Don’t forget to bring in your festive photos!

Poppies Toddlers Due to a high interest in vehicles some of the toddlers enjoyed a bus ride up to the local garden centre. They had lots of fun watching all the traffic go past as they waited excitedly at the bus stop shouting “BUS!!” Once on the bus they were excited to sit in the seats and look out of the window. Some of the children were particularly excited as it was their first bus journey. They then enjoyed explaining the new Christmas display that had been done at the garden centre before once again getting back on the bus back to nursery for lunch.

Lots of fun dressing up as heroes and princesses for Children in Need – raising a fantastic £ 60.15!

Pre-School We have been continuing with our phonics sounds with a variety of activities – phonics circle time, sounds hunts around the garden and matching sounds and objects games. We have also been getting festive. We have been making our own calendars and Christmas decorations. We have also been learning Makaton Christmas signs to accompany our Christmas carols which we will be performing for our parents and carers at our carol concert at our December Stay and Play
