Today we had a very special group time led by our new friend Hector. He is spending some time visiting with the preschool children in Bluebells before he goes to work in Canada where he will be teaching young children 4-5 years old how to learn to ski.
Hector spoke to the children all about his favourite sport which is Skiing and brought in some of his sport items for us to see e.g. helmet, gloves and ski boots. The children enjoyed looking at the photographs and were keen to explore feel and even try some of them on. We learnt that children can start to ski from the age of 4 years just like some of us in Bluebells and that Skiing is done on snow in countries like France, Canada, Switzerland and Bulgaria. You can even learn to ski in our country in places with special snow or dry ski slopes too.
