This month in Portland House Poppies room we have been learning about ‘All around the world’. We have been looking at Chinese New Year, different foods and types of transport. The children have loved making their own dragons and flags.
The Bluebells also celebrated Chinese New Year making a Chinese dragon. We used a large box to make the head and painted it red. Bottles were used to make the horns, we wrapped them in paper and painted them gold. We made the body using some sparkly material and took our dragon outside in the garden. We had great fun dancing around underneath it to Chinese music.
