As part of British Science Week, pre-school children explored chemical reactions. A few children have been interested in volcanoes and how they erupt. To link with science week the pre-schoolers made a volcano from newspaper and glue, waited for it to dry before painting it to look like a volcano.
The children mixed vinegar and bicarbonate of soda into the volcano mould and were amazed to see the contents erupt from the top of the volcano! The children wanted to do the experiment over and over again!
