Anjali Singh who is now 16 years old attended Portland House nursery in June 2001 came back to visit Portland House Nursery to say hello to her key person Pam and Debbie to give them pictures that she had made them as a special ‘Thank you’ for looking after her.
Pam, the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) who specialises in working with children with additional needs, had worked closely with Anjali for many years as her 1:1 support worker during her time both in the nursery and Holiday Club. Debbie had also played a big role in Anjali’s care and education and worked with her younger brothers Jai and Raj too.
During Anjali’s visit she asked Pam and Debbie to sing ‘Twinkle, Twinkle little star’ which was clearly a fond memory of one of her favourite early years songs that has stayed with her.
