30 days Wild - 1st June day one - Nap in Nature

The children at Oakwood House are taking part in the Wildlife Trusts 30 days wild throughout June. Today we had a Nap in Nature.

The children at Oakwood often take their naps outside weather permitting. With the warm sunshine, blue sky and gentle buzzing of insects, what could be more therapeutic than really being in the present and feeling your surroundings? We also love to take part in Yoga outside.

Spending time in nature is really good for us all, helping us feel happier and healthier. It’s easy to get caught up in the busy city lifestyle, raising stress and tension levels. Nature directly combats these, alongside depression and anxiety and leads to a sound wellbeing. So why not try it take a picnic blanket with you, lay back in the sunshine and soak up all that Vitamin D, you can return to your day relaxed, refreshed and better off for it!
